Star Valley

Tenille, Lacey, Dylan, and I decided to take a 3 hour drive up to Star Valley. We stayed with Shanna (Brad's sister who just had twins.) She is my hero, she does so much with her kids despite having 4!!! Anyhow, we went up to visit and help Mary, Brad's mom, pack up the house so she could move down here to live with us. Lonnie already is living here and has for 1 year so it will be nice for her to be with her husband after so long. She is a little stressed out about living here because she'll have to find a job and she will miss everyone up home. I can't imagine leaving home after 30 years living there. Anyhow, I was as much help as I could be with my 3 kids right at my feet most of the time. She is nearly done and ready to come down. We can't wait! The girls are excited to finally be home. They slept better then ever and have just been walking around the house smiling it seems! Thanks for letting us stay with you Shanna and Rhett, you guys are life savers!

Handysitt boosters

I got new chairs for my girls. I was sick of the bulky highchairs in my kitchen and decided to get these cool booster chairs. The girls love them and so do I. I spent a week in Star Valley and was able to take them with me quite easily. They were a little expensive but totally worth it for us. I will be needing to drag the stupid high chair up again just as soon as Dylan is ready for solids... I just thought for a few months it would be nice to just have none in my kitchen.

Babysitting

So, I have a question for all the other mothers out there who are currently paying babysitters. How much should I pay? I have been paying 5 an hour, and then 4 an hour if there are 2 sitters here. I don't know if I'm overpaying or if I'm underpaying. I ask my niece Samantha how much she charges and she just says, whatever I want. I don't want to lose her because I'm a cheapskate. So, I have 3 kids under 2. I can handle it (most of the time) but wonder if a 14 year old girl can so I tell her to bring a friend, which she does most of the time. So, everyone reading, PLEASE, give me your opinion.

Been tagged!!

I guess I've been tagged. I will do my best.

1. I feel out of my bunk bed on Christmas Eve night and my dad had to take me to the emergency room to get stitches. The whole family had to wait for me to wake up to open presents.

2. I love to have painted toenails but not fingernails because I sit and pick at my fingernail polish until I get hangnails. REALLY bad habit.

3. I don't see very well in the dark. It's something to do with my eye sight, I have a lazy eye and an astigmatism that i no longer wear glasses for but probably should. Driving is the worst, I am an old granny driver at night.

4. My favorite chore in the house is cleaning the kitchen. When I was younger my mom paid me an extra 10 dollars a week allowance to clean the kitchen instead of rotating like my brothers and sister. The others never cleaned it very thoroughly.

5. I can't wear high heels because my feet are too wide. I have NEVER found a pair of high heel shoes that fit. When I was 12 or 13, my mom took me to foot locker to get shoes and the sales man asked me if I was a swimmer because I have "flippers" instead of feet.

6. I have a fear of being a passenger on ATV's and Snowmobiles. I have been in a snowmobile accident that left me getting 2 different surgeries and I've been in a four wheeler accident at the hands of my husband. (no surgeries) I know my own abilities, but I don't trust the person I'm riding with.

Now I will tag Tonya, Shanna, Christa, Karen, Rebecca, and Dad.

Trying....

...to grow grass. It is very hard. I think that we planted just a few weeks late because we only have a few patches in the back yard. So in our front yard we got Sod and the girls are having a ball playing out front.

This is our attempt

Max and Dylan

So on halloween we decided to compare Max and Dylan and Dylan is obviously bigger! He is 3 months older though. Max is such a cute kid, he has very pretty eyes.

Tenille

We went trick or treating to 3 houses which was plenty enough candy for us! It was a fun day. My parents make chili every year on halloween so we ate chili in pumpkin bread bowls and just had fun watching the kids play and talking.
