Tenille and Lacey's birthday party

So I have a mass of pictures and events that I'd like to post on here. So please be patient, here are pictures of Tenille and Lacey's birthday party on March 16th, they turned 3, I keep telling them to quit, but they just won't! RUDE! We invited a lot of family over and had an easter egg hunt, ate hamburgers and hot dog and just visited, Rebecca made a dora cake for them, I made scarecrow cupcakes (they were supposed to be Dora cupcakes... LOL) It was a good time!

So, I had to take the slide show off because there was this annoying music playing on it! I will load it again and share it later! LOL

Home Pre-schooling???!!!!???

I found this site when I was trying to find out how to do more learning activities at my house, and of course I wanted it to be free. So this site popped up and I went to it. The first thing I found was some flash cards I printed out on card stock and cut out. I figure if we go through those cards at least every day for a few months, they will know their ABC's and numbers up to 20! Here's to hoping, since I am not a professional teacher, just giving it a shot. One day maybe we'll be able to afford actual pre-school, but until them, I am a perfect substitute!!

recommitment

So today is the day I recommit to updating my blog! I was reading through my cousin Christa's blog and she was saying how she was going to make the next 30 years of her life better than her last. I want to second that motion and I am going to see to it that my 30's are much better than my 20's. There have been a few changes in my life in the past few months, some for the worse and some for the better. I want to be the mom that I always knew I could be but didn't know how to be. I want to spend more time teaching the kids and making memories with the kids. I want to have more patience and laugh instead of get upset. I want to be a good wife to my wonderful husband. I want to uplift him when he needs uplifted and give him strength when he has none. To love myself enough to lose the weight that i've put on over the years. I want to spend more time laughing with my family and spend more time outdoors. Laugh at the stupid things I do, instead of put myself down for them. Turn off the TV!!!! So, here's to making life better and living instead of letting life pass me by! Life is just too short!

What are we up to?

Brad: Is working in Star Valley right now doing a tile job. Also he is building some fabulous bookshelves and a new headboard for our bed! Pictures to come! YAY

Kristin: I am working on self-improvement, making my 30's better than my 20's (yes, I'm getting a head start as I haven't turned 29 yet). I am taking the kids to a new class about sign language for little kids! They seem to really enjoy it and it's fun watching them make the little hand signals, even if they're not right.

Tenille: I am afraid of monsters. (where did that come from??) I love playing on the swing and slide that are in our back yard. I think that playing with my brother and sister is fun! Especially having tea parties!

Lacey: I am an early riser lately. I am usually the first one up in the house and lately i've been sneaking downstairs into Grandma's bedroom without mommy knowing. I love my new bikes that I got for my birthday and wish the weather would get better so I could learn to ride them!

Dylan: I am so stubborn that I won't talk, even though I know exactly what everyone is saying and will do what I'm asked. I see a speach therapist and she's trying to bully it out of me... so far, I say, Ball, NO (shocker), and shoes. If you say a word enough times in a row for me, I'll probably say it, or try to say it. I outweigh my sisters and I LOVE IT! They still push me around though... my mom still says, some day I'll get them back! MUWAH HAHA

What I would be doing if I had time

I would deep clean my house. I know, boring! I am a neat freak and I hate clutter. I would go back to college, get my degree. Get my cooking certificate. Start a catering business. I would take my kids to more places so that they could learn more things. With two hands, it's hard to rally 3 kids, hence the triple stroller. I would read more books because I love to read. I would train for a marathon. Running is the best thing I can do to lose weight and that would be perfect!!!
