Jumping Rope

So dad was vacuuming, (He does the vacuuming because I detest it.) and he took the cord and wound it around. I was worried it would "whip" one of the girls, but they liked it.

Lacey, (of course she is wearing her boots)

Tenille giving it a try.

Dylans photo shoot

My very favorite... he is such a smile head!!

We couldn't get hiim to look away from me.

Yes, every kid needs a little embarrassment in his life.

My little Buster Brown. I don't know why I call him that, he just looks like a Buster to me...

In the Christmas Spirit!

When we were through, we went to eat at Chic-fil-aye and this old man comes to me and takes one look at Dylan and said, "You don't short him any cream, do ya!! Look at those cheeks!" What a fatty he is!!! He weighed in at 16 pounds a month ago. He sure is a solid boy.

Curls Curls Curls

Another experiment with doing little girls hair. I remember when i was a kid, my mom put those foam curlers in my hair. I was at the grocery store and saw some. I thought, I could do that to T & L's hair! HEH. Here are the fun shots of my "effort". They are mostly naked because I forgot to put their shirts on before I put the curlers in.

Tenille

Lacey

Yes, that is a dead dear!!!

And yes, Tenille is HUGGING it.. It has also been kissed a few times.. GROSSS!

Bad Experience

Have you ever had a shopping experience that was just REALLY BAD??? Well, I haven't until now. I ordered some cowboy boots for my twin girls from Sheplers on Nov. 27th for a Christmas gift, I figured, a month ahead of time, that should get them here by then.... NO SUCH LUCK! I received an email when my order was placed, and it said it would be shipped within 5-7 business days. Then I received another email that tells me that the estimated ship date is 12/4/07, OK, great, I'll definetly get them on time... again, no such luck. I call the customer service department around Dec 13, and they have to email the manufacturer to see where the order is, and when they will be shipping, I wait 4 days and they finally get back to me to tell me that the boots I ordered would not be shipped until Jan. 3rd. These were Christmas presents to my girls, like I said, so I decided to order another pair that would be here by Christmas, that's fine. The thing that just gets me is that I had to pay almost double the shipping by no fault of mine, and when I ordered the boots the first time, they were on sale, the second time they were not. I had to pay nearly 20 dollars more to get the boots that I SHOULD have gotten as promised with the "handshake guarantee".

I wrote them all this information in an email including that I am displeased with the service I have been provided and the I hoped the could do something to resolve the issue. I end up with less then my favorite boot for 20 dollars more. RUDE If I didn't want the boots so bad, I would cancel the order all together and shop somewhere else!!!

These are the boots I wanted

These are the ones I'm getting

Christmas lights

I decided to Brave the cold and snow and take the kids to see the lights. It was a lot of fun, we went to the North Ogden little lights and took pictures, and this picture is the only one that sort of turned out.

We then went and took the kids to wingers to eat dinner which was LOTS OF FUN! Absolutely no melt downs! LOTS AND LOTS OF RANCH DRESSING got eaten! HEH

Then we decided to go out to Willard Bay and see their little lights. I was 7 dollars a car to get in so we figured it was worth it to avoid getting cold. WE took Tenille and Lacey out of their car seats and let them sit on our lap while we went around the loop twice. So, I grew up in the 90's and you can tell because one of the words that Tenille and Lacey used as we were going around the loop was "COOL" . It made Brad laugh every time they said it. I was a good experience and I can't wait until next year and we do i again!

New Washer

Have you ever drooled over washers or dryers? Well I HAVE!! My time has come to get a new one. Our old washer was a hand me down and we've had them for 5 years so who knows how old they are. The dryer had to go through 2 cycles to get the clothes dry. Probably because I jam the washer as full as I can get it because I hate to do laundry. I WILL LOVE IT NOW! I got some cool front loading models. But I shopped online and because I didn't look closely enough, I got a mismatched set. OH WELL, they're STILL COOL!!!! Brad got 15% off of them at Lowes because he knew the girl who checked him out. The set for 1300 YAY!

Anniversary

We've gotten past the 7 year mark! YAY!!! We did experience our version of the 7 year itch this year and with much ado, WE MADE IT!! Time has flown for me and having kids has even made it worse. I can't imagine where the time has gone. Here's the rundown on what we did for our special day!!

Missy and Brett watched the kids for us. THANKS!!! We drove to Salt Lake to see a silly play at the Desert Star Theatre. It was called... How Newt Gingrich stole Christmas. It was a silly comedy about the Utah version of How the Grinch stole Christmas, a little about how bad the Jazz are doing, and about the political issues in Utah and the Country, a lot of jokes about Family HOme Evening, and singles ward. Kinda silly, lots of little giggles. Then I had printed out a few options for dinner. The Market Street Oyster Bar, and Beninhanas. Brad chose the Market Street Oyster Bar. It was good, not anything special though. Kinda pricey too! Anyhow, then we finished up our Christmas shopping and was home by 9:30.... WHAT, I couldn't believe we were home so early, we really are getting older and are ACTING more like an old married couple now more than ever! HEH

Chop it off I say!!!

On Dec. 15th, I decided that I needed to get my roots touched up, considering that it had been 9 months since they had been done!! So, my last hair lady quit on me because she had a baby which is completely understandable! I found a new girl at the Salon by 7-11 on Washington in North Ogden. I sit down and she asked what I want done, I said, well it's really long and has dead ends, lets cut a few inches off... a few inches turned into about 8 inches, and my hair is shorter than it's been in a long time. I walk in the door after the dramatic cut, (I love it by the way) and Brad says, WOW, I didn't know you were cutting your hair, but that's on the border line of the "old lady cut". He thinks that when women get older and have children, they always get the "old lady cut". I like having long hair because it means I can pull it up (which I can still do... barely). So, let me post some before and afters. Give me your honest opinion about how it looks.

These are the most recent pictures I could find, my hair was very unruly and long and spent 97% of it's waking time in a pony tail.

This is the after, I just got these pictures taken yesterday for Brads Christmas gift because he's moving to Cedar City without us in January and as he will be living LIKE a bachelor, I want to remind him he's not and to mind his manners... HEH!!! But anyhow, I like my hair better short and it is very nice and light!

Which Disney Character is Kristin?

Which Disney Princess Are You?

You are part Jasmine. You are loyal and would visit the ends of the earth for what you believe. You would never let obstacles stand in the way of true love.
You are part Belle. You are strong, deep, and you are not a slave to petty superficial things. You are independent and allow yourself to see inner beauty without sacrificing your values. You are almost too good of a person.

Flow Rider

For Ben and Jakes birthday, we were invited to go to flowrider with them and their friends. It was a good time, and I would go again! It did beat me up pretty good though. I came home with about 5 new bruises, and I hurt my shoulder! Funny thing happened, the first time I got thrown off, my boobs fell out! I started walking back to get in line to go again, and it felt breezy. I was like... OH CRAP! Ben and Jake had all their friends there, HOPEFULLY no one saw me! Brad just started laughing. I can't even believe I didn't know it right away! I cinched up my swimming suit quite tight after that to the point of almost hurting... I didn't want to risk it again!!!

Me giving it a shot!

My shot was over... I biffed it!!

Solid Foods

At Dylan's 4 month appointment the pediatrician told me to start him on solid foods... I wasn't expecting that because Tenille and Lacey wasn't started until 6 months.. So I drug out the rice cereal, bibs, and spoons and just dove on in. Dylan did really well until Tenille and Lacey decided they had to help me feed him... He started getting fussy by the end, but finished about half of what I had made him. I think that he was getting sick because that night he came down with a fever and had the symptoms of what the girls had and I think that's what made him fussy.... plus all the extra attention. It's funny because I can see him just cringe when Tenille and Lacey walk up to him. Most of the time they are nice, but sometimes they are not. Today, he ate all his food and is beginning to use the tongue reflex to move the food to his throat to swallow it. He's definitely not shy with his food!

Deer Hunting

So Brad comes to me the other day and asks if I would post his deer hunting adventure on my blog... I say sure. He says, never mind, it's just for you and the kids' adventures huh. Well, I finally got the pictures off of his i-phone and now I can do a post all about him!!!

Brad loves to hunt, any chance he gets, he's bunny hunting, elk hunting, deer hunting, you name it. Even if he doesn't have a tag, he goes along for the ride. For instance, when we were in Cancun this last February he got a marlan and paid to have it mounted...

Another story, he went bear hunting with his friend Pat when the twins were just 2 months old and left me home alone for a week. So he LOVES the hunt!

This past October, he went hunting in Cedar City. He got the biggest deer he's ever gotten and was soooo proud of it as you can see in his face! It's a good thing that hunting big game is only seasonal, or I would never have a husband, and the kids would be fatherless!!! I'm just kidding baby! LOVE YA!!

VERY talented

So, I got Dylan up this morning and then went to brush my teeth... I had just set him in his bouncy chair and didn't do up the buckles.... well, I hear a whole bunch of heaving and hoeing and I return to find him like this.....

Mommy, I don't want to be in this chair any more, I'm a big boy and you should respect that enough to put me on the floor!

He really has grown out of that chair and doesn't like it except for on the off day.

Tantrums

So, the age that Tenille and Lacey are right now is my hardest age so far. Lacey has learned how to throw tantrums. She can go on for hours and I'm not sure what to do. If any of you have experienced this, any advise? It makes it worse if I touch her or talk to her. I don't usually know why she's throwing a fit either. Some have said it's maybe a phase... if so, hopefully it's a short one!

Sick Kids

Saturday afternoon after the girls woke up from their naps Tenille felt warm so I took her temp. It was 104... panic... give Tylenol... Call doctor... wait it's Saturday. Just let her sit on my lap all day long! Sunday Missy and Brett were blessing Max and I was going to go but then Lacey came down with a fever too. Not as high, but she didn't feel very well. I stayed home with them and they were really fussy and cranky all day long. They tried going to bed but got mad when I left them alone. This is the first time I've ever let this happen. But I got them out of bed and put them on the couch with me to watch the incredibles. Monday morning I took them to the doctor. It turned out that there was no infection, just a virus that had set in their sinuses and gave them fevers. This morning they both woke up happy and had no fevers. YAY!!! What a long 3 days! Now we just have to wait to see if Dylan has caught it. Brad did. .... well, he's worse than the kids!!!!

Just some cute snap shots!

Lumber Jack Dylan! We think he looks so cute in plaid!

Tenille loves giving kisses!

All 3 together!

WHATCHOO DOIN!

And.... he does it!

On November 30, Dylan decided he was big enough to roll over! So he did! He was exactly 4 months old and he rolled from his back to his belly. Today I caught him rolling from his belly to his back. Here are the action photos! Good job buddy!!

Decorating for Christmas

The day after Thanksgiving, we decided to put the Christmas Tree and decorations up. Tenille and Lacey are being so helpful too! Aren't they always!!!

Tenille in her little santa hat in front of the tree.

My little monkeys climbing up my fire place!! AHHH!!! They really want to get a concussion too. If I don't watch them closely, they will pull on the stockings and the holder is going to come with it!

It is our tradition to buy an ornament every year for every person in the family. (Thanks to the Gibbs for the idea) I haven't bought the kids yet, but Brad and I have picked ours out! We don't really have many more traditions than that!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was held at our house. It was spent with my side of the family. My mother and father in law were also invited to join the party. It turned out really well, we planned on eating at 11:00 to accommodate naps for the kids. We played games, had desert (lots of yummy pies) and then made some candy to ship off to Mike for Christmas.

Lacey enjoying her roll.

Tenille pulling a Helen Keller by going around the little kids table picking what food she wanted to eat off of everyone elses plates. heee

Must have been yummy, the food is all gone! I decorated the table with place mats that I had made 3 years ago. i took fabric and a whole bunch of fall colored leaves and began to glue. They turned out very pretty.

Here is a 4-generation shot with my Grandpa, Dad, brothers and sister (except Mike) and all the grandkids.

All in all, I think the day turned out well and since I love to entertain, I had a good time!
